Notes

> A Chorus Of Disapproval was dedicated to Tom Laughton, brother of the actor Charles Laughton, who was a long-standing and passionate supporter of the Stephen Joseph Theatre In The Round. Prior to his death on 14 March 1984 (aged 80), he was Chairman of Scarborough Theatre Trust.
>
A Chorus Of Disapproval revolves around Pendon Amateur Light Operatic Society's production of John Gay's The Beggar's Opera and extracts from songs from this piece are performed during the play.
