You Should See Us Now marked the playwriting debut for the company of Peter Tinniswood, who had a successful career writing for stage, radio, television and prose. A prolific writer for the radio, he is best remembered for his serials featuring Uncle Mort and the poacher Winston Hayballs and the play, The Village Fete.
Peter wrote three plays for the company stating with You Should See Us Now and followed by its sequel, At The End Of The Day (1983). He later adapted his acclaimed radio play, The Village Fete (1991) for the company.
