> The Beaux Stratagem marked the first time the company had employed a fight director for a production. Nick Hall was hired to choreograph the sword fights as the director Robin Herford had once lost a tooth in a badly choreographed fight scene at another venue.
> The production also included a brief appearance by actor Sam Dale’s Border Collie, Willy, who was walked across stage by the actress Jenny Funnell each night to mark the passing of time at one point in the play.
